Friends, Fun, and Florida: Day 1

View from our hotel room balcony onto the marina:

Pics from the beach:

Over the Memorial Day weekend we got to drive down to St. Augustine, FL and meet some of our best friends who we haven't seen in over a year: THE HAGUES! We shared a hotel room with them in a quaint little hotel that was right on the water in a marina. The view from outside our balcony was BEAUTIFUL! We had so much fun that I went picture crazy, so I am splitting our trip up into a few different posts. This post is focusing on our first day at the beach.

We drove about 10 minutes to get to St. Augustine Beach. The sand was soft and beautiful. It was hot, but there was also a pleasant breeze. The water was warm enough to walk into and had enough waves to play in. It was basically perfect! The best part of it all was that Eva loved it. If Eva is happy, Mommy and Daddy are happy. She loved the sand (she even ate it at least 2 times...gross!). Her favorite part about the sand was watching Daddy build sand castles and then letting her destroy them. She loved the shells. Her favorite part about the shells was picking up the big ones and put them in Brad's pocket. She loved the water. Her favorite part was sitting down and splashing around in the shallow part of the water and letting the waves hit her legs and tummy. Brad was such an awesome daddy and played with her constantly so I got to do a lot of lounging. Not only did Eva love the beach, but Brayden loved it too! He was a very good beach bum. He lounged around and was so sweet the whole day. What a cutie! I think it is safe to say that everyone in our group loved the beach. It was so much fun for us, and it was even better to have Andy, Julie, and Brayden with us.

Here are some videos from the beach (Sorry that I am pretty much the most annoying video-er ever):
