Happy Halloween

For Halloween, a good friend of mine was kind enough to lend me an adorable bunny costume for Eva to wear (thank you Julie!). This definitely helped to make the holiday less stressful! I didn't have to worry about pulling together a last minute costume, which is usually my style. Eva loved dressing up as a bunny and seeing her long ears in the mirror.

Our ward did a Trunk or Treat a few nights before actual Halloween. We slipped Eva into her costume and painted her nose pink and added whiskers onto her cheeks. At the Trunk or Treat Eva got a kick out of seeing her friends dressed up as different animals and characters. She loved the fact that she could hold out her Halloween bag (sewn by me with TONS of help from my friend, Julie) and people would drop candy into it. She kept saying "purse, candy!" which sounds more like "buse, danny!". We gave her one piece of candy that night and her response was "yummmm!".

On Halloween night we decided to take Eva to a more established neighborhood to do some trick or treating. It didn't even look like Halloween in our apartment complex and Brad and I didn't see any trick-or-treaters the entire night. We went to a neighborhood where Eva's friend, Riley lives. The place was packed! It brought back memories from my Halloween experiences growing up. Eva loved seeing her friend dressed as a cow and she loved, loved, getting more candy in her purse. She finally got to where she would say thank you to the people handing out candy. We only went to a few houses and then she happily came home and enjoyed a piece of candy before bed.

Now she has completely forgotten about her candy, but somehow it is slowly disappearing. I have a feeling it's the chocolate craving pregnant monster that lounges around our house after Eva is asleep.

  1. What a cute bunny! I'm glad Eva had a fun Halloween. Hailey has totally forgotten about her candy as well. And it's also slowly disappearing, along with all of the candy that I bought for the 2 trick or treaters that visited our house.
