Quick Trip to Myrtle Beach

We found a great deal online for a hotel on the beach in Myrtle Beach, SC. We decided to go that Sunday and Monday. Brad was able to work extra on Friday so that he could take the Monday off. We packed up and left early Sunday morning and got to the beach around noon. Luckily the hotel had a room ready for us, so we checked in and got our bathing suits on and hit the beach. We spent all afternoon on the beach. In fact, the majority of our time was spent sitting in the water and letting the waves splash up our legs and stomachs. Eva loved it. Thomas was a little scared at first, but was content to just sit for hours on Mommy and Daddy's laps and watch the waves splash on his legs. We then played for an hour or so in the hotel pools. Sunday night we walked around Broadway at the Beach which is a big shopping/restaraunt area for tourists. Sunday night in the hotel was a little rough, but we made it through. Then, Monday morning we went mini-golfing and headed out to the beach. We spent a few more hours on the beach, flew our kite and played in the sand. We spent another hour playing in the hotel pool and then headed home. It was a fast a furious trip, and by the end of the car ride the kids were exhausted and cranky, but it was worth it. We had so much fun enjoying some much needed family and beach time.
