Visit from the Grandparents - Aquarium and Downtown Greenville

After we checked out of our hotel in Myrtle Beach, we stopped at the Ripley's aquarium which is in Broadway at the Beach. I was excited to take Eva to the aquarium because she seems really interested in animals right now. She loves the zoo and animals in her books, on her clothes, pretty much anywhere. Unfortunately, the vacation had gotten to her, and she was really tired after about 10 minutes into the aquarium. She thankfully ended up falling asleep as we kept walking around.

The aquarium was really neat. There was a huge sting ray tank where you could actually touch the sting ray. They also had a mermaid show that would have been so fun to go to with a 3-4 year old girl. The best part about the whole aquarium was when we got to go on this underwater walkway. The tank encircled us as we stood on a moving walkway that took us through the tank. There were sharks, eels, fish of all colors. It was really neat to see them swimming to the sides and above us. It was a pretty big exhibit and was definitely the highlight of the aquarium.

After the aquarium, we drove back to Simpsonville, SC. The next day, Brad had to go back to work, and Eva and my parents and I spent the day recovering from our vacation. We decided to just go into downtown Greenville for a little while in the early afternoon to show my parents Falls Park and to grab some lunch. At Falls park they have a fun fountain that you can walk through, and it feels amazing when it is hot outside. Eva loved it.

After the fountain, we walked around the park. We checked out the water falls, and sat by the water to watch the ducks. Falls Park is really beautiful, and I've been meaning to put pictures of the park up. I'll have to get to that later.

The next day, my parents had to fly home in the morning. Eva and I dropped them off at the airport. We said bye and gave hugs and kisses. Eva started to cry as she watched them walk into the airport. She cried the whole way home and then crashed in her bed for a nap. We all had such a fun time with them and we were sad to see them go.
